Pocket nappies provide a middle path between the traditional two part system, and the all in one system. A pocket nappy typically consists of a waterproof outer, with a fleece liner permanently attached, and an opening at the front and/or the back, creating a pocket between the two. Into this pocket one or more absorbent inserts is placed as required. Pocket nappies make changing time simple as they go on and off like a disposable, so are easy for other people to get used to, but because the inserts are removed in the wash, they are faster drying than typical all in one nappies. Incidentally, smaller size terry squares make great pocket nappy inserts, simply fold into a rectangle of the right size! |
