Muslins
Muslin squares have a multitude of uses for new parents, however they are also ideal as newborn nappies. Being so slim and lightweight, they are easily folded to make a very neat slim fit on tiny bottoms. If you find you need a bit more absorbency, add a booster. You can fold them in the same ways as normal terry squares, however on a newborn it may be helpful to start out with the muslin already folded into a square, and then proceed from there. Remember you will need waterproof outer nappy covers with all terry nappies! Listed under Nappy Covers, all the ones we stock are suitable for use with terry squares.
Of course if you'd rather just use your muslins as burp cloths, you'll find we have a nice selection of patterns and colours to add a little variety to your changing bag.

Popolini muslins are a generous size, 80x80cm, a good quality of fabric and keep their shape, making them ideal for use as nappies. They won’t look bulky, even on a tiny baby. Absorbency can be improved if required with the addition of a booster, however most new-borns don’t produce dripping wet nappies, more commonly they need frequent changes due to the frequency of their poos! Once you no longer need them as nappies, muslins go on to have a multitude of other uses such as burp cloths, dribble catchers, mopping up baby sick, emergency bib……my husband informs me they are also superb for cleaning his motorbike ...... that's where they’re all going then! They have been an essential item for us.
