These brightly coloured trainer pants come in a lovely selection of bright colours: yellow, orange, red, green, blue, purple, plus Barbie pink, and now available in pastel shades - light pink, light mauve, pale yellow (NOT available in small size), pastel green and light blue - if you don't know what to go for, select the "Surprise Me!" option and we'll send a gender neutral selection. Click on "read more" for sizing information! These trainer pants have a layer of short-loop cotton terry on the inside, and cotton jersey (like a t-shirt) on the outside. Sandwiched between these, in an enlarged gusset shape, is a layer of foam for absorbancy, with a PVC waterproof layer outside that. I have used these on 2 of my daughters. Wee containment is excellent. There is no actual running leak out of the pants - the water does spread around the fabric, and so wicks onto the leg bindings and around the top of the enlarged waterproof gusset, but it is all contained within the pants. I find they give enough protection to keep the clothes dry while you find the nearest loo, so if you didn't happen to pick up a change of outfit before leaving home, it probably won't be needed anyway.

The pants come in four sizes, S M L and XL. The fit of these is somewhat controversial, and depends more on the build of your toddler than on any easily given weight or age limits! The size guide given in the pants is by weight and waist measurement (though I'd not put too much store by the waist guide), and is as follows: Small - waist 52cm, height 84cm, weight 12kg; Medium - waist 53cm, height 92cm, weight 14kg; Large - waist 54cm, height 100cm, weight 16kg; Extra large - waist 55cm, height 108cm, weight 18kg. If your child is slim, you may need a smaller size, if your child is chubby, especially on the thighs, you may need to go up a size. My daughters wore both medium and large quite happily, though the medium were a better fit on skinny legs and the large were better on chunky legs. Children over 3 would probably need large or extra large, under 3 probably medium/large, and under 2 small or medium. Sorry not to be more helpful, by all means ring me for guidance if you're unsure which size to order!

Wash on a warm wash - up to 40 deg certainly to begin with - and dark colours separately. Can be tumble dried.

Customer Reviews:
These are the only trainer pants I've found that my kids will accept as being "pants". I am told they are comfortable to wear, and they love the bright colours. We have them in purple and pink and I'm impressed with how little they have faded, even given that I usually wash them with the nappies at 60 degrees. I would suggest buying up a size, especially if your child is fairly chunky around the legs/middle. The huge advantage of these trainer pants is that if your child has an accident, nine times out of ten it's only the trainer pants that you need to change, their clothes will survive it, so no more having to cart around 6 changes of trousers wherever you go!

I think the Bright Bots trainer pants are brilliant. Not only do they save a lot of mess during any "accident" they actually look like proper knickers (esp Barbie Pink) so no embarassing "nappy" looking thing on dear daughter. In my opinion they are better than knickers even if no accidents as they are a much snuggger fit than flimsy little girl knickers that ride up flashing their little bottoms.

They are brilliant, my daughter is effectively toilet trained, but bright bots give ME the confidence to take her on a longer journey without worrying about an accident if we don't find a 'loo' in time! They soak up the puddle but the child still knows they're wet and lets you know, but as already mentioned you don't have to change layers of clothes, just the pants. We're off on holiday soon and I'm definetely taking a few pairs with me, they are so neat on and easy to pack in a handbag or changing bag. Buy more than one pair just in case! Dana particularly loves her pink 'big girl pants' which do look like the real thing.Already recommended them to friends. Thanks again.

Tried the rest - now try the best! These are great, look nothing like a nappy therefore no temptation for your little one to use it as one, but due to the hidden waterproof layer and small amount absorbency they are great for stopping clothes getting wet - a tip I picked up along the way, if you don't trust your little one when out pop a small booster inside these for a little extra security!
